What to do if your car gets stuck in the sand on Pensacola Beach &
What to do if your car gets stuck in the sand on Perdido Key, Florida.

First, do not park in the sand on Pensacola Beach or Perdido Key.

These are “sugar sand” beaches, which will get your car stuck immediately.
The sand is so soft, that your spinning tires will dig themselves a hole down to the car axle.
It can very, very quickly ruin your day.

It will really ruin your day if there are open containers of alcohol or things that should not be in the vehicle
and law enforcement responds to the scene.  If this happens call Chris- (850) 437-9410.

How do you get a car out of the sand on Pensacola Beach and Perdido Key, Florida?
Based on personal and extensive experience, I suggest:
1. Remain calm.
2. Do not spin the tires/ continue to try and drive out.
(which will result in further sinking of the tires into the sand)
3. Solicit a few helpers and bounce/lift the car sideways (right or left) out of the hole.
4. Push/drive slowly from that point forward.

Other suggestions:
If someone tries to pull your car out, please make sure the tow vehicle is on solid ground,
and the car being towed in low, forward gear.
Do not try shoving things under the tires.
(You can try, but it won’t work.  They also become projectiles)
Trying to drive forward and back will only make a bigger hole.
Make certain there are no open containers of alcohol in the vehicle.
